Blackgang Viewpoint

Blackgang Viewpoint offers wide-open views across the southern Isle of Wight, making it an interesting spot to take in the night sky. Away from some of the island’s brighter built-up areas, you may be able to spot stars and constellations on a clear night, with views towards the horizon. The clifftop can be extremely windy, and the cliffs are unstable due to ongoing coastal erosion. Keep well back from the edges, take extra care when visiting after dark, and choose a safe place to observe the sky. Check local access conditions before your visit.
